NI Conservatives’ spokesman for sport, Trevor Ringland, has paid tribute to the influential sports journalist, Malcolm Brodie MBE, who died yesterday, and extended sympathies to Mr Brodie’s family and friends.
“Malcolm was a friend of my family and I knew him as a lover of sport, with extraordinarily deep knowledge and experience, particularly of his beloved football”, Trevor commented. “He was also a hugely talented journalist, a great character and an excellent ambassador for Northern Ireland, who was a strong supporter of society here.”
“I extend deepest sympathies to Malcolm’s family and friends. His contribution to sport and journalism in Northern Ireland will be sadly missed.”
