Trevor Ringland, NI Conservatives’ spokesman for sport, has wished Donegal’s Gaelic footballers the best of luck in their all-Ireland final, which takes place on Sunday.
“There are no Northern Irish counties involved in the final this year, but there is an Ulster team to support, in Donegal”, Trevor enthused. “We may be separated by a border, but it would be great to see fellow Ulstermen bring the Sam Maguire home to our province once again.”
“The all –Ireland final is one of the biggest sporting occasions on this island, it is a marvellous spectacle and a hugely enjoyable occasion for the thousands who attend and the millions more who watch on TV. Let’s hope for a hard fought contest, some thrilling action and a win for the Ulstermen of Donegal.”
