North Down Borough Council should recognise the achievements of local skier, Kelly Gallagher, who won the UK’s first ever Paralympic gold medal on Monday morning, according to North Down NI Conservatives’ chair, Paul Leeman.
“Kelly becomes the first ever gold medallist on snow from the UK, either in the Paralympics or the Olympic games”, Paul explained. “That’s an extraordinary feat and it’s one I think the local council should recognise. She must be one of North Down’s greatest sportspeople.”
“I’d like to congratulate Kelly for an achievement which will be remembered for many decades to come. Everyone in Northern Ireland, and in particular North Down, is very proud and there should be an opportunity for local people to show their appreciation.”
