NI Conservatives’ North Down representative, David Symington, has urged anyone with information about a shooting in Bangor to “contact the police immediately”. Two men were shot in the Whitehill estate in the town, at around 1am on Monday morning.
“This was a worrying, frightening incident for local residents”, David said. “Obviously any incident where firearms are used improperly is to be condemned. It is extremely important that anyone with any information about this shooting, whether it seems significant or not, should contact the PSNI without delay.”
“This is the kind of story which Bangor could do without. Whitehill is a close community and hopefully police will be able to find out what happened quickly.”
