Voters should plump for NI Conservatives, if they want something different - after the DUP announced it would be advising supporters to vote for the UUP and UKIP - according to the NI Conservatives’ European Election candidate, Mark Brotherston.
“Peter Robinson’s comments about voting for the UUP and UKIP, after the DUP, demonstrate that those parties are now all effectively the same”, Mark commented. “Mike Nesbitt has thrown principle out the window to pursue pacts with the DUP, time after time and UKIP’s MLA, David McNarry, has spent years trying to cuddle up to the party.”
“NI Conservatives are the only party which has a plan to move politics on beyond ‘Orange, Green or something in between’. We’re the only centre-right option in the field and we’re the only party which takes a positive view of how Northern Ireland can contribute to the United Kingdom. We’re offering real influence as part of the substantial Conservative Party team at the European Parliament. If voters want politics that focus on issues, positive action on building a shared future and more jobs, then they should vote for NI Conservatives, rather than parties which offer ‘DUP lite’.”
