The Prime Minister has appealed to the Northern Irish parties to work together. We hope that all the parties participate in discussions to resolve the current impasse. It is essential that we press ahead with the full implementation of the Stormont House Agreement and tackle continued activity by paramilitary organisations.
Northern Ireland’s political leaders face a clear choice – to move forward with what was agreed in the Stormont House Agreement and build a brighter, more secure Northern Ireland – or continue down a path that threatens to wreak havoc with public services and which undermines devolution.
What the people of Northern Ireland want is agreement at these talks, the end of all paramilitary groups, and a Northern Ireland where politics works, the economy grows and society is stronger and more united. We would encourage all parties to work to achieve that end.
